ANNUAL TOURNAMENTS

WILLIAM MURRELL SHOOT

William was a director of the Barbados Rifle Association for many years. He was an active member and competed at the national and regional level in the Full Bore Rifle discipline.

The William Murrell Shoot is shot at the Barbados Rifle Association located at Paragon Army Base, Christ Church during the month of March. This is a short range shoot (300 through 600 yards) was added to the BRA callender, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the club.

BRA PRESIDENT'S CUP​

The Barbados President's Cup tooks place at the Barbados Rifle Association range located at Paragon Army Base, Christ Church. This IPSC level 3 match ran for a three (3) day period, during the month of May.

REGIONAL STANDOFF

 

The Regional Standoff  is an IPSC level III  competition which consist of fifteen stages.  It is held at the Barbados Rifle Association located at Paragon Army Base, Christ Church and spans over a three (3) day period, during the month of August.

PISTOL NATIONALS

 

The B.R.A Pistol National takes place at the Barbados Rifle Association range during the month of  November.

SMALL- BORE CHAMPIANSHIPS

 

The annual B.R.A Small Bore Championships takes place at the Barbados Rifle Association range during the month of October. The shoot is shot at 50 meters, comprizing of sixty (60) scoring rounds, highest possible score 600 - with unlimited sighters for a period of seventy-five (75) minutes. Small-Bore means 0.22 inch / 5.56 mm calibre.

FULL-BORE NATIONALS

 

The B.R.A Full-Bore Nationals - referred to as  the Barbados Olympic Association Independence Invitational Games (BIIG) takes place at the Barbados Rifle Association range. The event is held during the month of November. The short range is of  (300 through 600) with two (2) sighters and seven (7) scoring rounds at the 300, 500 and 600 yards is shot on the first day starting at 12 noon. Followed by the long range match - where participants will be shooting at a distance of 900 - 1000 yards with two (2) sighters and ten (10) scoring rounds. Full-Bore means 0.308 inch / 7.62 mm calibre.

I.P.S.C BARBADOS NATIONALS

The annual  I.P.S.C Barbados National takes place at the Barbados Rifle Association range. The event spans three (3) days during the month of December.
